Surgeon, engineer, and serial entrepreneur with 35 years in complex total joint surgery. BS in Mechanical Engineering and Biology from Stanford, MD from Harvard Medical School. Founded multiple medtech companies including Invuity (acquired by Stryker) and Bespoke Innovations (acquired by 3D Systems). Co-founded the NSF Center for Biophotonics. Holds 88 issued US patents.
